Contacts Activity Trigger

Contacts activity triggers fire based on actions or changes related to a contact's profile or subscription status. In this guide we will cover all four triggers available under this category and how to configure each of the available triggers.

To access these triggers, click on the Trigger node in your automation canvas, then select the Contacts activity tab.

Available Triggers

  • Contact property change

  • Contact subscribed/confirmed

  • Contact unsubscribe

  • Tag added or removed

  1. Contact Property Change - Triggers the automation when a specific contact property is updated.

  • What properties should trigger this automation? - Select the contact properties from the dropdown and then select it's value. The flow will fire whenever any of the selected properties change on a contact's record. For a full list of available contact properties, see: What are the different contact properties? →

  • Who should enter this automation? - Choose which contacts are eligible to enter. You can select All Contacts, All Subscribers, Specific Segment or Predefined Segments. You can also apply an additional filter to narrow it down further.

  • Re-trigger the flow for contacts that have been in this flow before - Choose how to handle contacts who have already gone through this automation:

    • Never - The contact will only go through the flow once.
    • Every time - The contact will re-enter the flow every time the trigger condition is met.
    • In the last - The contact will re-enter only if a set amount of time has passed since they last went through the flow.

Once configured, click Select Trigger to save.
