Shopify Customer Tags targeting - How to show poptin only to specific customers on Shopify?

With Poptin now you can show popups to specific customers on Shopify with the help of tags.

Make sure you have already created tags and have assigned them to the right customers. To see how to create and assign the tags to customers on Shopify please click here or go to your Shopify Dashboard and navigate to Customers > Select a Customer > Assign the Tags.



Once the tags are created and assigned to the customer please follow the steps below.

Start by going to the Display Rules step of the popup and click on "Shopify Customer Tag Targeting" click on it to expand.

Select the tags of customers that you want this popup to be displayed. and click Publish Changes.



Please note - If you get a warning " Could not fetch customer tags, Click here to re-authenticate" then click on the re-authenticate link.

In the next prompt click Update App to authenticate Poptin to fetch your Customer Tags.



Use Cases of Shopify Customer Tag Targeting:

VIP - Assign VIP tags to your highest-paying customers. By doing so you can show them specific popups offering good discounts and premium products.
Frequent Buyers - Show discounted products and offer limited-time discounts to your frequent buyers to encourage more sales.
Refund Customers - Gain your customer's confidence that requested a refund by showing them exclusive offers to regain their confidence and trust.

Note : Customer Tag Targeting only works for logged-in visitors and will not work if Shopify Login Status Targeting is set to Not Logged-In.
