How to use Source code targeting?

Source code is a text listing of commands to be compiled or assembled into an executable computer program.

Source code targeting can be used to show a popup when the targeted snippet of source code is present on that page.

The following steps below will help you understand how to enable the Source code Targeting:

Login to your Poptin account and go to the Popups dashboard

Click on the pencil icon next to the popup where you want to enable the Source Code targeting and then click on "Edit Display Rules" option

Go to the Advanced Settings in the Display Rules settings at the bottom

Go to the** Source Code Targeting** setting where you will get the option to Show or Don't show a popup based on the source code snippet targeted

Don't forget to click on the Publish Changes button when you have set it up to save the changes on your popup

Use cases examples to show How you can optimize using Source code Targeting for your website:

Show on specific product/categories pages - You can target source code of certain products/catalogs and categories on your website to collectively show the popups on all the pages for a certain product/catalog or category where the targeted source code appears.

Pages that are accessible only for paying or logged in users - You can show popups using source code targeting to logged in users or paying users on your website by simply targeting the source code of post payment pages or post login dashboard pages.

Pages that show some of the content after specific action in the page etc - You can use source code targeting to show popups after a visitor happens to do a certain action on your website like adding a product to Wishlist or sharing a product link via the website. In such cases you can simply target the source code of the pages after the visitor happens to execute those actions.
