How to integrate your poptin with Klaviyo?
- On the Design page of your poptin, click on the "Email and integrations" section on the left menu and then click on "Add integration".
- Search for Klaviyo and click on the integration.
- Click on the "Authenticate" button in the Integration setting. It will pull the API Key automatically when you authenticate the integration.
- A new tab will open, click on Allow to allow Poptin.
- Select the list from the dropdown which you wish to use with Poptin and click on Approve to compelte integraiton.
With our native Klaviyo integration you can collect:
- Name
- Phone
And also advanced fields (it will show under Custom properties in Klaviyo), including the Poptin name
- Revoke Access
Press the X icon on the Klaviyo integration within the integrations to revoke access. Refer to the video below.
Note: To send your contacts to Klaviyo's SMS segment please make sure you add the consent check box in your Poptin fields.
To create a Klaviyo's SMS segment from your Poptin leads navigate to Lists & Segments > Create List/Segment > Segment and configure it using the screenshot below.
You can change the name of your segment accordingly.
Note: Please check the following important points if you integrate with Klaviyo.
- Double Opt-In is mandatory for sms_consent. Only users who double opt-in would show up in your sms_consent segment.
- Any new list that you create on Klaviyo will have Double-Opt In enabled by default. Thus not all users may be added to your list. Only those who consent will be pushed to the list.
- If the user added a phone number, and the number is invalid, the lead would be pushed into Klaviyo, but not into the specific list.
- If the user added a phone number, and the number doesn't have country code, the lead would be pushed into Klaviyo but will show un unsubscribe.
- To send your contacts as subscribed please make sure you add the consent check box.
