How to integrate your poptin with Customer.io?

In this help guide, we will try to illustrate how you can integrate your poptin with Customer.io


Please follow the steps below to understand the process:


  1. Login to your Customer.io account and go to Account Settings



  1. Go to Integrations on the left menu



  1. Go to Customer.io API



  1. Copy the Site ID and API Key



  1. Go to Segments



  1. Click on the segment which you want to integrate with your poptin



  1. Copy the Segment ID from the page URL when you click on the desired segment



  1. Go back to Poptin Dashboard and click on the pencil icon next to the popup which you want to integrate with Customer.io and click on "Edit Design" there



  1. Go to Email and Integrations > Add Integration on the left menu



  1. Find Customer.io in the list of integrations that appear and paste the Site ID, API Key and Segment ID in the relevant fields there



  1. Once you have pasted all the required details, click on the Approve button



Do not forget to click on the Next or Publish Changes button on the top right corner to save the integration in the poptin settings



If the integration is successful, you will receive our API test lead in your Customer.io contacts.


Note: Supported fields in Customer.io <> Poptin integration are as below.


  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone
  • Message
