How to target visitors based on Operating System and Browsers?

In this help article, we will illustrate how you can target your visitors and show them popups/forms only if they use certain specified Operating Systems and Browsers to visit your site.

We have introduced a new Advanced Targeting feature in the Display Rules Settings which helps our users to target visitors on their website based on the Operating Systems and Browser type.

We currently support:

14 Mobile Operating Systems like Android, JavaOS, iOS, BlackberryOS, SymbianOS and many more.
26 Mobile Browsers like UC Browser, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and many more.
9 Desktop Operating Systems like Windows, Windows NT, Linux, Ubuntu and many more.
19 Desktop Browsers like Opera Mini, Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and many more.

You can find this setting in the Advanced Settings on the Display Rules Settings of the popup:





Some Regular Scenarios where you can use Operating System and Browser Targeting:

To encourage mobile device users to download your app on Android or iOS play store.

You can show popups with the links to your app download link for iOS and Android users, and target them using the Operating System Targeting.

Ask users using older versions of Internet Explorer to switch to Chrome or update their current browser to the newest version

If you are running a tech blog, you can ask visitors who are using old browsers like Internet Explorer to update to the Microsoft Edge browser or Chrome browser so they can stay updated with the latest technology.
