How to create Poptin auto-responder?
Within your Poptin dashboard head towards Autoresponder.
Click on Create New . In the prompt give your autoresponder a name and click Customize .
On the top right corner fill up the necessary details as preferred by you.
Sender Name: The sender name will appear on the autoresponder email.
Sender Email: From Email address such as yourname@yourbusiness.com
Subject: Your autoresponder email's subject line.
There are three ways to create your email autoresponder's content.
a. Use our WSIWYG editor and create the email.
b. Paste your HTML email template code. At the moment we only support inline CSS in the HTML templates.
c. Use one of our pre-built templates.
Finally connect the Popup or Form with your autoresponder and click Publish to publish your newly created autoresponder.
Test your popups by sending a test email to yourself.
Autoresponder Logs:
Check your auto-responders sent logs by following the steps below.
Here you can see all the details regarding your sent logs.
Now that you know how to create an auto-responder you can actually personalize your autoresponder for each customer using the merge tags. Merge tags can be accessed by clicking on the icon highlighted in the screenshot below.
Note: Merge Tags are available based on the fields available in your popup/form.
For general popups:
In the example below we've used the merge tags for Name {name} and Email {email}.
For Gamified Popups:
There are two additional merge tags available for Gamified Popups on top of general merge tags as illustrated above. Using these merge tags you will be able to send your Prize Won and Prize Code to your customers with Autoresponder.
Prize Label - {prize_label}: You can use this merge tag to mention the prize your customer won.
Prize Code - {prize_code}: You can use this merge tag to send Prize Code that your customers can avail on their orders.
Note - Following characters are not allowed. ( '{{', '}}', '${' ,'<%=', '%>' )
