Create your first Poptin



Welcome to Poptin. A great tool that makes it extremely easy to generate new sales, leads, and subscribers from your existing traffic. Built for digital agencies, online marketers, bloggers, portals, and eCommerce website owners seeking to:



In this article, you'll learn how to create your first Poptin Popup or Form.

Creating your first Poptin Popup! To create a new popup, follow the steps below!

log in to your Poptin dashboard and click on the +New Poptin button.



Select Popup from the two available options.



Select a popup template of your choice and click the customize button. You can also filter templates by goal such as Get More Leads, Increase Sales, Announcements and Grow Email List.



In the new prompt give your Popup a recognizable name and add your website's URL in the domain field. Note: You can turn off the status to keep your popup turned off. Click the customize button to customize your popup.



You can now find all the options and settings to customize your popup on the left and the real-time design of how your popup will look on the right-hand side. You can also preview your popup by clicking the Preview button at the bottom. Below are some of the important settings you can configure at this stage.

a) Options Available: Popup Size, Submit Button Action, Colors, Input Fields, Integrations, auto-responder, Custom CSS, etc.

Once you are done customizing the popup simply click the blue Next button on the top right corner to move to the next step.



At this stage you can now set the behavior of popups such as who do you want to see the popup, where on your website would you like to display the popup, and which countries or devices will see the popup, and how often.

a) Triggers Available: Exit Intent, Time Delay, Page Scroll, Page Count, Clicks Count, Inactivity, On-Click Trigger, Javascript Trigger, Autopilot Trigger

b) Targeting Options Available: Device Targeting, Page Targeting, Display Frequency, Dates, OS & Browsers, Traffic Source, Countries, JavaScript Targeting, Title Tag Targeting, IP Blocking and some others.

Once you are done settings the display rules for your popup it's now time to publish it. Click on the Publish button on the top right corner of your screen to publish the popup.



Your Popup is now published and displayed on your website.



Creating your first Poptin Form! To create a new form, follow the steps below!

log in to your Poptin dashboard and click on the +New Poptin button.



Select Embedded Form from the two available options.



Select a form template of your choice and click the customize button. You can also filter templates by goal such as Get More Leads and Increase Sales.



In the new prompt give your Form a recognizable name and add your website's URL in the domain field. Note: You can turn off the status to keep your form turned off. Click the customize button to customize your form.



You can now find all the options and settings to customize your form on the left and the real-time design of how your form will look on the right-hand side. Below are some of the important settings you can configure at this stage.

a) Options Available: Form Size, Form Alignment, Elements, Colors, Input Fields, Integrations, auto-responder, Custom CSS, etc.

Once you are done customizing the form simply click the blue Next button on the top right corner to move to the next step.



At this stage you can now set the behavior of forms such as who do you want to see the popup and which countries or devices will see the form, and how often.

a) Targeting Options Available: Device Targeting, Page Targeting, Display Frequency, Dates, OS & Browsers, Traffic Source, Countries, JavaScript Targeting, Title Tag Targeting, IP Blocking, and some others.

Once you are done settings the display rules for your form copy the Installation Code on the right side and paste the code on your website where you want to embed this form. It's now time to publish it. Click on the Publish button on the top right corner of your screen to publish the popup.



Your form should now be visible on your website.



Note: If you use one of our apps from stores such as Shopify, Wix, WordPress you will not have to install the JavaScript code as it's already installed for you through the app/plugin.
