# What is the difference between domain verification and email sender verification?

Domain verification confirms you own the whole domain you're sending from, like sendpoptin.com. It covers SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and the Claim record, all added once in your DNS under Sending Domains.

Email sender verification is separate. It confirms the specific email address you're sending from, like [hello@sendpoptin.com](mailto:hello@sendpoptin.com), under Email Senders. Each sender address needs its own verification before it can send.

Think of it this way: domain verification proves the domain is trustworthy, sender verification proves the specific address on it is real. You need both for the best deliverability.
