# What Is the "Claim" verification record and why do i need It?

It's a TXT record that proves the domain is yours. It sits alongside SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, all four now need to be in place for your domain to fully verify.

**To add it:** in your DNS, create a TXT record with the host `_poptinemail-claim.yourdomain.com` and your verification token (find it in your DNS records panel) as the value. You can add it on its own or tack it onto an existing TXT record.

**Multiple sub-accounts, same domain?** Each one has its own token, so add a token per sub-account. Same TXT record or separate ones, both work.
