# Manually updating/changing a contact's status.

In this guide we will help you understand how you can manually change a contact's status by finding it in your contacts. . 

1. Navigate to **Leads  >. Contacts** in your Poptin Dashboard.

2. **Select the contact** and click on **Actions > Choose** your status and **confirm the prompt** to change the status.
