# How to setup 2-Factor Authentication?

You can set up 2-factor authentication to enhance your Poptin account's security. With the 2-factor authentication enabled in Poptin, you will need your login credentials and an OTP (One-time Passcode) to log into your account. The OTP is generated by an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

Let's dive in and help you setup 2-factor authentication. 

1. Navigate to [MyAccount](https://app.popt.in/settings/profile) within the Poptin dashboard and click on **Enable 2FA**.

2. Scan the QR code on the screen or manually enter the code.

3. Save your backup key in a secure location.

4. Enter the 6 Digit Code from authenticator app.

5. Click on Enable 2 Factor Authentication.
